This page is maintained by Selectora to explain what data we and our embedded product-finder widget collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your personal data. If anything here is unclear, contact us at privacy@selectora.io.

What data we collect

• Quiz answers. When a shopper uses the Selectora widget on a store, we process the answers they select (for example product preferences, budget, and use case) in order to return a recommendation.
• Analytics events. We collect anonymised usage events via Google Analytics 4 — such as page views, widget opens, quiz completions, and recommendation clicks — to understand how the product is used.
• Account and enquiry details. If you create an account or submit a form (pilot application or contact message), we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email, store name, and message.

How we use your data

• To generate product recommendations for shoppers.
• To produce aggregate analytics that help us and store owners improve the experience.
• To respond to your enquiries and manage your account.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We only share data with the service providers needed to operate Selectora (for example our hosting and analytics providers), and only to the extent required to deliver the service.

Cookies and similar technologies

Selectora and Google Analytics 4 use cookies and similar technologies to remember quiz progress and to measure usage. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the widget or site work.

Your rights under UK GDPR

If you are in the UK, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

We may update this policy as Selectora evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
