These terms govern your use of Selectora, an embeddable product recommendation quiz widget for online stores, operated by Selectora, based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, applying to our pilot programme, or installing the widget on your store, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Selectora provides a quiz widget that store owners embed on their website to guide shoppers to relevant products, together with a dashboard for configuring quizzes and viewing analytics. We may add, change, or remove features as the product evolves. Selectora is an early-stage product under active development, and we are transparent about that; pilot partners in particular should expect the product to improve and change over time.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and using Selectora for business purposes.

3. Your responsibilities as a merchant

You are responsible for your own store, including the accuracy of your product information, your compliance with the laws that apply to your business, and how you use quiz results. Where the widget collects data from your shoppers, you are the data controller for that data and are responsible for providing your shoppers with any required privacy notices. Our role as a data processor is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Selectora to collect data unlawfully or deceptively; to sell products or services that are illegal in your jurisdiction; to attempt to reverse engineer, copy, resell, or interfere with the service; or to use the widget in a way that harms shoppers, other users, or Selectora. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

5. Licence

While your account is active and in good standing, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to embed and use the Selectora widget on the store(s) connected to your account. Selectora and its underlying software, design, and branding remain our property. You retain ownership of your own store content and product data.

6. Plans, payment, and cancellation

Free plans are provided as described on our pricing page. Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment provider and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change our pricing with reasonable notice; changes will not affect a billing period you have already paid for.

7. Pilot programme

Pilot programme participation is offered at our discretion on the terms communicated to you when you are accepted. Pilot features may be experimental, and feedback you provide may be used to improve the product without obligation or compensation.

8. Availability and support

We work to keep Selectora available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may occasionally suspend the service for maintenance. Support is provided by email at bless@selectora.io.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Selectora is provided "as is". We make no guarantee that the widget will increase your sales, conversion rates, or revenue, and recommendations generated by the widget are suggestions, not advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss of data, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under law, including for fraud.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. On termination, your licence to use the widget ends and you should remove the embed code from your store. Data handling after closure is described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We will post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date and notify account holders of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
